# Connect an assistant with MCP

Give your assistant the address in **Settings → Integrations → MCP**. The assistant then asks you to sign in to Teamhood and approve it. [Open in Teamhood](https://app.teamhood.com/go/settings/mcp)

## Connect an assistant

1. In **Settings → Integrations → MCP**, select **Copy** next to **Connection address**.
2. In your assistant, add a custom connector with that address. Some assistants call it an MCP server, after the Model Context Protocol they use to connect.
3. Sign in to Teamhood when the assistant asks. Check what it asks for, then select **Allow**.

## Let an assistant only read

Copy the **Read-only address** instead. An assistant connected there is never offered a tool that changes anything.

## Let an assistant set up the organization

Use the **Connection address**. If the page where you approve the assistant lists changes to the organization's setup, the assistant can make them.

## Use a personal token

Some assistants take a request header instead of a sign-in. Create a token as described in [Personal tokens](../personal-tokens/), then send it in the `X-Api-Key` header or as `Authorization: Bearer <token>`.

## Disconnect an assistant

Under **Connected apps**, open the row menu, select **Disconnect**, then confirm with **Disconnect**. The assistant loses access on its next request.

An assistant connected with a personal token is not listed there. Delete the token to disconnect it.
