# Add the Teamhood skill to an assistant

Some assistants can load skills. A skill is a folder of instructions that an assistant reads when a task needs them. The Teamhood skill gives an assistant the rules for working in Teamhood.

## Add the skill

1. Connect the assistant to Teamhood, as described in [Connect an assistant with MCP](../connect-mcp/).
2. Save the [Teamhood skill](../../skills/teamhood/SKILL.md) as `SKILL.md` in a folder named `teamhood`.
3. Add that folder to your assistant as a skill.

The skill does not connect the assistant. Without a connection, the assistant has no Teamhood tools to use.
