Teams
A team is a named group of people. Teams live in Settings → Organization → Teams. Open in Teamhood
Most places that accept a person also accept a team. A people field can hold a team, and a view’s audience can be a team.
Teams inside teams
Section titled “Teams inside teams”A team may sit inside another team. The list shows that nesting by indenting each team under its parent.
Membership is not a role
Section titled “Membership is not a role”| What it decides | |
|---|---|
| Role | What a person may read and change |
| Team | Who they are grouped with, and what can be assigned or granted to them |
Adding somebody to a team grants no permissions. Adding somebody to a team does change what a view scoped to that team shows them. See Roles and permissions.
Deleting a team
Section titled “Deleting a team”Deleting a team removes the group, not the people in the group. The delete clears everything that pointed at the team. That includes the memberships, the view access granted to the team, and the team name in people-field values on items.
Sub-teams are not deleted with the team. Sub-teams move up to where the deleted team sat.
